Quest steps

Step 1: Talk to the quest NPC in the Forest of Death (behind the main building, left side near trees) to accept the 'Golden Proficiency' quest.

Step 2: Complete the meditation minigame — hold F to balance the meter (not X as some guides incorrectly state). Labeled Difficulty III, it is moderate but manageable.

Step 3: Return to the NPC, who sends you to the Mirror Maze. Find the exit to complete this step.

Step 4: Talk to the NPC again to receive the Golden Eyes Mode. Open Skill Tree → Clans → White Eyes to see the new Golden Eyes evolution unlocked.

Mirror Maze guide

The Mirror Maze is a reflective environment where walls and corridors mirror your movement, making navigation tricky. The easiest way to complete it is to zoom out your camera to get a top-down view and see the layout.

Interact at the maze exit once you find it to finalize this step of the quest.

Golden Eyes abilities

Once unlocked, Golden Byakugan grants access to seven golden-themed jutsu upgraded from the standard White Eyes moveset. Each attack glows with golden chakra aura and creates shimmering impacts on hit.
