Ninja Time Curse Marks Guide
Curse marks are overlays, not a fourth spin. You farm or craft tokens, talk to the Snake NPC in the Map Location 10 island hideout, and wear a mark that changes M1s and mode pressure.
Black Flames clan players get extra mileage. Anyone can wear a mark. The short community video on this page is the walk-in route many people still use.
What curse marks are
A mark is a combat toggle on the mode bar, closer to an awakening than to an accessory. It does not replace Clan, Element or Family. Trading again at the Snake overwrites the old style; tokens are not refunded. Craft tokens at the God NPC if boss drops are slow.
How to unlock
Farm or craft a Curse Mark Token, walk the hideout, trade, then fight until the mark UI appears. Craft recipe: 5 Curse Blood, 2 Curse Tooth, 3 Curse Eyes, 5 Curse Hearts at the God NPC.

Farm or craft Curse Mark Tokens
Fastest farm: Bone raid and the Curse Mark Black Flames boss. To craft a token, take 5 Curse Blood, 2 Curse Tooth, 3 Curse Eyes and 5 Curse Hearts (Kimimaru inside Bone's hideout) to the God NPC (Hagiromo) west of the Uchiha district — the same NPC who crafts the Akatsuki Talisman.

Find the Snake NPC
The hideout is Map Location 10 — a coastal island (our boss table lists it as the northern island). Community walkthroughs, including the short embedded on this page, walk a downhill shoreline approach. The Snake world boss is a 5-minute spawn; the mark trader sits deeper in the compound.

Trade for a random mark
Hand the NPC a Curse Mark Token. A successful trade is not guaranteed. Community rates put Bone Cursed Mark near 20% and Curse Mark Black Flames near 2%. Trade again later to overwrite the style; tokens are not refunded.

Unlock the mark in combat
After the trade, fight until the mark UI appears on the mode bar. Activate it the same way you would a clan awakening. Do not transform during the trader cutscene.
Mark types
Bone Cursed Mark is the common Snake roll (~20%). Curse Mark Black Flames is the rare damage overlay (~2%). Heaven leans chakra. Earth leans Vitality. Cursed Parts from Bone are the upgrade catalyst after the first unlock.

Snake hideout
Map Location 10 — coastal island (northern island on our boss table). Walk the shoreline downhill into the compound; the short on this page is still the cleanest camera path. The Snake world boss is a five-minute spawn with Snake Sword and Rope. Bone raid uses the same hideout on a UTC clock.
Tips
Do not transform until the trader cutscene finishes. Bring Ice or Particle for the hideout trash. Party Bone windows if you still need Cursed Parts or Kimimaru craft mats (Blood, Tooth, Eyes, Hearts).
Curse marks FAQ

- Is a curse mark a clan?
- No. Marks sit on top of your Clan / Element / Family. Black Flames clan players get extra mileage, but any kit can wear a mark.
- How do I craft a Curse Mark Token?
- Bring 5 Curse Blood, 2 Curse Tooth, 3 Curse Eyes and 5 Curse Hearts to the God NPC west of the Uchiha area. Kimimaru in Bone's hideout drops those parts. You can also farm tokens directly from Bone and the Black Flames boss.
- Do I need the Curse Mark Black Flames boss first?
- That boss is the fastest way to feel the Black Flames mark and to farm related gear. The Snake NPC can still hand you a mark if you arrive with tokens — Black Flames is just the rare roll.
- Can I remove a mark?
- Yes — trade again at the Snake NPC. The old mark is overwritten. You do not get the tokens back.
